こんにちは!Anime Club 2010-11

***Make sure to sign up for this page! By doing so you will ensure that you will have access to the latest SMCHS Anime Club news!! Everyone must be signed up within 2 weeks.***

こんにちは everyone~!
Katie and Lauren welcome each and every one of you to a promising new year! In order to make Anime Club more exciting and active, we have come up with some new ideas. Having parties at people's houses, taking trips to Little Tokyo, planning a group trip for Anime Expo 2011, creating club sweatshirts and having contests for advertisements on ETV are some of the many ways we expect to increase awareness and appreciation of Anime Club. Additionally, we will be expanding our weekly activities from simply watching anime to having specific days for video gaming, learning about Japanese culture, studying the language, drawing, reading manga, and possibly even cooking! However, we cannot do this without you!! Please take the time to interact in and help plan club activities. As a club, we can definitely work together to bring the Anime Club back to, and beyond, its former glory!
We both hope to get to know all of you! Feel free to ask us if you have any questions or suggestions! Let's all work together to make this year a success!!

Welcome to Semester 2!!

Hey all!
I hope you are finding finals week tolerable. It's almost Semester 2! *cheer*
So far, we will be following the schedule as planned (only the order, though, because the dates got messed up).
As for updates...Well, I think that the only new thing so far is that our neko-bank is now out of the ceramics display case and is ready for us to use!
Sorry, I didn't have much to update, but I will leave you with one exciting find! I found the scanslations of the Axis Powers Hetalia manga. I have posted the link below:
Enjoy your three day weekend~!

Update for 12/7/09

Hello,
This is a reminder that, unfortunately, we will not be having Anime Club this next Monday (12/7). However, the Anime Club's Christmas party will be taking place the following week (and the New Year's party our first Monday after break). If possible, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE cosplay for this event. In addition, we are still accepting submissions for the cultural festival logo. So, be ready to turn it in at that time. You can also find either Lauren or me and give us your submission if you want to turn your logo in at another time.

It is equally important that we decide what we are going to watch for Christmas! We have the option of watching either Bloody Monday or Tsubasa RC. Please help me decide by giving your opinion.

Thanks! Here's a random picture...

We would greatly appreciate it if you could bring it! In addition, if you want to make a suggestion on what to watch for any of the open days, don't hold back! :) Some anime that are considered being added if there are no suggestions are Death Note, Bleach and Naruto/Naruto Shippuuden.

By the way, if you just want to chat with each other in the comments and socialize, that's totally fine. It's one of the purposes of this blog! :D

P.S. - If anyone wants to help run the blog, let me know!

Welcome to our blog!

Hey all!
Welcome to the new SMCHS Anime Club blog!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since we only meet as a group once a week, I thought that this would be an easy way to socialize and make Club announcements. Didn't get to hear the Anime Club announcement on ETV? Check here! I will try my hardest to keep the blog updated. For future Anime Club members, feel free to check in and see what's happening! You can also follow this blog by adding it to your account (you don't need a google email to make an account and it's free). For all of you who do not wish to make an account, that's completely fine.
Feel free to post artwork, anime/manga or anything else you think the club might like to see.
However, for obvious reasons, I ask that you keep everything posted here appropriate, including language, subjects and links. If a post contains something you believe others will consider inappropriate, please give a clear warning. If the material is brought to my attention as being too mature, then I will be forced to be the party crasher and remove your post. Thanks for your cooperation! ^-^
Updates coming soon~! :D
